- 1958.11.20The Executive Yuan announces reforms to the foreign exchange system, implementing a single exchange rate.
- 1959.08.07Severe flooding strikes 13 counties and cities in central and southern Taiwan. In response, the Taiwan Provincial Government puts forward a post-disaster reconstruction plan, and the president issues an emergency decree modifying tax regulations and budgets for governments of all levels.
- 1959.10.29The Executive Yuan Council approves the establishment of the Atomic Energy Council. On August 22, 1963, the Executive Yuan also approves Taiwan’s signing of the Limited Nuclear Test Ban Treaty.
