Sun Yat-sen sculpture

Description

This bronze sculpture of Sun Yat-sen is the work of famed Taiwanese sculptor Ju Ming. Combining form and philosophy, Ju creates a minimalist, blocky sculpture that captures a sense of solemn gravity on Sun’s face. The steady gaze also conveys the founding father’s lasting compassion for the people of the nation.

Sun lived his life by the principles of liberty, equality and fraternity, and he founded the republic on the ideal that all under heaven belongs to the people. These teachings have become guiding values for the Executive Yuan in forging Taiwan into a free, prosperous, equitable and modern nation. The legacy of Dr. Sun lives on today, and his wisdom will continue to inspire people for generations to come.
