Description
Premier Lai Ching-te inspects Nanhua Reservoir’s dam and water conservation facilities during a drought in Tainan. He said the government has responsibility to redirect water resources across Taiwan to ensure each locale has sufficient water for use. By developing new water sources, pushing water conservation, reallocating water supplies and building emergency backup supplies, the nation can provide an additional 1.9 billion metric tons of water per year by 2031, enough to satisfy the needs of homes and businesses as well as agricultural irrigation and industrial development demands.
