Description

Premier Chen Chien-jen attends the inauguration ceremony of the Taiwan Power Company (Taipower) Renze Geothermal Power Plant in Yilan County. The plant was developed and built through a collaboration between Taipower and the CPC Corporation, and is Taiwan’s first geothermal power plant produced by a joint venture between two state-owned companies. The premier anticipates the domestic geothermal energy industry will accelerate its growth, offer up more sources of green energy, and help the nation move toward the goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
