Description
Fuxing Bridge was built in 1955 as the first elevated roadway in the country. It crossed over the West-Link Line railway (today’s Civic Boulevard) and passed above the roundabout at Zhongshan and Zhongxiao roads. The bridge was rendered obsolete when the railway was moved underground, so it was demolished in 1995. The Executive Yuan can be seen in the upper part of the photo.
