Description

Premier Chen Chien-jen inspects the Tainan Anping Reclaimed Water Plant in response to water shortages caused by climate change. The government has taken preemptive measures to improve Taiwan’s water supply and allocation adjustment system through the Forward-looking Infrastructure Development Program, which in 2021 enabled the nation to overcome one of the worst droughts in a century. The plant uses technology to purify wastewater into high-quality reclaimed water for use by high-tech industries in Tainan Science Park, and will reduce supply pressures for industries in southern Taiwan.
