The Chinese Taipei team presented this team achievements commemorative plaque and mascot pin set to Premier Lin Chuan at a celebratory dinner following the Taipei 2017 Summer Universiade games. The 29th edition of the Summer Universiade took place in Taipei from August 19 through August 30, 2017, with 7,384 athletes from 134 countries and territories competing in 22 sports including athletics, tennis, badminton, weightlifting, wushu and roller sports. In addition to Taipei, competition venues were also located in nearby New Taipei, Taoyuan, and Hsinchu City and County. The Chinese Taipei Team outperformed itself by netting 26 gold, 34 silver and 30 bronze medals, displaying outstanding sportsmanship and bringing glory to the entire nation.
