Description

This red brick structure, known as the Red Building, was located in front of the Executive Yuan’s Central Building and was the site of the Asian Peoples’ Anti-Communist League, Free China Relief Association (FCRA), and Government Information Office (GIO) until 1985. The Red Building was demolished in 1985. In 1988, the GIO moved into a new adjacent L-shape building on No. 2 Tianjin Street and remained there until being dissolved on May 20, 2012. The FCRA, meanwhile, was renamed the Chinese Association for Relief and Ensuing Services and relocated to Roosevelt Road in 1991.
